Gal Pal Brunch + Planning the Perfect Setting

Flowers are in bloom. Easter is almost upon us. Spring is most definitely in the air. What better reasons to head into this season with a spring brunch with your besties. Most recently this is exactly what some of my closest, and sweetest friends a gal could ask for did. Not only did we have a blast putting it all together, but had some of the best bites and some really good laughs. Who doesn’t want that! Today, I am sharing why this is a must and everything you need to pull it off.

The Gals

Before the breakdown, I first need to introduce you to the gals. If you aren’t following them, you should make a point to do so asap! Not only do they have impeccable style, but the sweetest hearts and most creative sides you’re gonna find!

The Tablescape

First and foremost, select a color palette and keep it simple. Remember that saying, “less is more?” It’s beyond true as it maintains consistency and allows for easier organization. My blogger gal pals and I all have completely different styles which I absolutely love and adore. By selecting a theme for colors, it made it so much easier for us to coordinate everything that went into the set up.

The center of the tablescape were these stunning flowers by Le Petit Bloom. Additionally, gorgeous blooms were also provided by Nearly Natural to accent our buffet. How perfect are these for spring! They truly added the perfect touch for this lovely setting. To accompany the colorful flowers, we selected a blush table runner while keeping the plates, napkins and chargers all neutral. The place setting was also accented with gold flatware that coordinated with gold rimmed glasses from Creative by Nature Home which were used for the parfaits. This allowed for the blush colors of the flowers to really pop. These items also do not need to break the bank. Several serving dishes and pieces used were from our own collections. Try using this same trick and pick up a few fresh new items for spring to brighten up your table.

The Menu

Okay, this literally was my favorite part. Well, second in line to hanging with the girls! But in all seriousness, we had quite the spread. This ranged from items we created ourselves, such as scrumptious avocado toast, yummy yogurt parfaits to my absolute favorite, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit. If you are not familiar with them, check out this post from my first experience. Honestly, I not only recommend them for brunch, but for any event. Not to mention they make the best grits and pimento cheese! Is your mouth watering yet, it should be! To top this amazing spread off, we had the most decadent marble cake from Craft Cakes and some Sparkling Rose’ from Risatta. This spread could not have been better! It was the perfect balance of healthy and splurge worthy!

Spring Style

The gals and I also decided to make this an even more special occasion by bringing our best spring style to the table, pun intended! Who doesn’t want an excuse to dress up right? Without truly seeing our looks till the time of our brunch, we could not have planned this more perfectly. From florals to solids, silks to lace, these all speak spring to me. For myself, I am quite the fan of Rami Brook. Her pieces are so chic and sophisticated. I got super lucky and found this particular dress at my local Marshall’s. However, I am linking some below that I also have or recommend.

Special thanks to Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, Nearly Natural, Le Petit Bloom, Risata Wine, and Craft Cake CLT for sponsoring this post. As always, my thoughts and opinions are my own. Photography by JLT Photography.
