Over the Knee Boot

Happy Monday all! And, Happy Turkey week! Can you believe it’s here already? In addition to the fact that Christmas is now just around the corner as well? Where in the world has the time gone lately?

Thinking about this time of year, makes me giddy for boots, boots and more boots! If you have kept up with me through IG or here on the blog, you can recall my adoration for the peep-toe bootie. Keep in mind, they are still some of my faves. Yet, the over the knee boot has now made the list.

Consequently, with falling temperatures, brings the need for more coverage on those little toes! If you ask me, I am most definitely a fan of many types of boots.

Once again, I challenged myself from my norm and stepped outside of my fashion routine. In all honesty, I didn’t see the over the knee boot working for me. I am on the rather vertically challenged side. My height is truly an 1/8 of an inch shy of 5’4″. But, I claim every bit of 5’4″! We can round-up right?

It seems as if over the knee boots are for the taller, leaner figures right? Absolutely not! Myth debunked! So how do you truly make this work, if you are on the shorter side? Select a dress that is just slightly shorter than where the boot begins over the knee. Overall, this elongates a shorter figure and frame.

This black, chiffon trimmed, sweatshirt dress, made the perfect piece to pair with the over the knee boot. It’s simple and chic to allow the over the knee boot to take center stage!

Most importantly, these boots are COMFORTABLE! Yes, that’s right! I literally walked around in them for a full day while exploring Nashville. Who’s to say that fashionable shoes have to be painful? Definitely not this pair!
