Athletic Leggings

So let’s get going. First, you need a solid pair of leggings Leggings are a girl’s best friend as they are the first and most important item for this ensemble. I will not lie, I do adore Lulu Lemon leggings as they were first to win my heart. Many reports circulated for a period of time that they were see-through or not thick enough. I, in fact, never encountered such issues. Lulu Lemon is still a fave, but it’s okay to branch out especially when finding similar quality at a lower price point. A new love has formed for a couple of brands found at Nordstrom. I’ve worn both Zella and Alo Yoga leggings for the last year and I would fill my closet full if I could. Each contains the right level of thickness which I truly feel hides my imperfections and highlights curves appropriately.

Casual Athletic Vest

Now let’s move to the vest. A couple of faves have been added to the winter wardrobe this season. The one pictured here was actually gifted to me by my sister-n-law. I nearly squealed when she surprised me with it for my birthday. A solid winter vest will provide the ability to layer under heavier coats making them essential for winter. They allow flexibility to wear alone on warmer winter days as well.

Sneakers

Beyond those two staples, your next key item must be a sporty pair of kicks. These simply should be to your liking but test out comfort to make sure they are compatible for walking. The last thing you want is to waste money on cute sneakers that hurt, that’s completely not worth it. I suggest keeping fashion sneakers to less than $100 if you can do it. Save the your sneaker investment for running shoes!
