Happy Monday loves!  It’s truly hard to believe that it’s June.  Christmas was just yesterday right?  In all seriousness, am I the only one that feels like this year is absolutely flying by?  With the official start of the summer just around the corner, I wanted to share how to create this simple effortless style for summer.  It’s one that you can toss on in a second and head straight out the door.

Cotton Blouse

Being in the south where the humidity is high and the temps are toasty, having a thin cotton blouse is a must.  Regardless of where you live, a cotton top in the summer can be a gal’s best friend.  They breath easily and wash effortlessly.  Selecting this beauty was a no brainer for those reasons, but also for the ornate details from the buttons to the tassel.  It’s currently on sale and I would suggest grabbing it before it’s gone.  You won’t regret it.  For sizing I selected an extra small as I normally do with many blouses with Loft.

Denim Shorts

Ya’ll I am big fan of denim shorts, especially sophisticated ones like these with a touch of an edge.  I personally prefer these due to the cuffs and the slight distressed details.  They do have some give and will stretch over time.  With that said, I normally wear a twenty seven or a four and I went down to a size two.

The Wedge

If you have followed almost any blogger on Instagram since last summer, you’ve no doubt seen these Marc Fisher wedges.  Now, you may think these can’t possibly be that comfortable given their height.  Please trust me when I say they are ridiculously comfortable.  I have shared previously that I struggle with issues with my feet.  Unfortunately, I have inherited a lovely bunion, and if I wear flats too often without arch support, my feet will kill me.  Sounds fun right?  So with all of this said, being selective with shoes is a must for me.  I’ve worn these wedges all day with absolutely no discomfort.  Yes, they are costly but worth the investment.  They now come in a few different variations as well.
