I hope that each of you had a wonderful and Happy 4th of July! Now that summer is definitely in full swing, I want to share a quick and easy way to style a summer dress whether for date night, vacation, or just because!
Embroidered Dress
Honestly, I am not one for prints or even embroidery for that matter. However, for a recent trip, this one simply spoke to me as soon as I saw the intricate details of the design and it’s neutral color palette. When selecting a summer dress, first make sure it’s breathable and soft. Nothing is worse than a dress sticking to you when the temps and humidity rise. Make sure to look for the details. Don’t get me wrong, a tee shirt dress has it’s time and place and can easily be dressed up. But add at least one dress that has some subtle details such as embroidery, a plunging neckline or puffed sleeves. A dress with details makes an easy statement.

Accessories
When a summer dress alone is the statement piece, everything else needs to me minimal. I did choose to elevate the heels with this look simply to add a bit of an edge but it’s not necessary. A simple nude strappy heel would work just as well. I am a loyal fan of Sam Edelman shoes and I have had these heels for a few years now. I love adding them to outfits that might not be expected. That brand literally is worth every penny. It’s stylish, comfortable and long-wearing.
Jewelry was kept very minimal. Given the delicate design of this embroidered dress, I kept jewelry within that same tone, pairing with gold hoops, a Kendra Scott hammered bangle and layered with an adjustable chain bracelet. The goal was to accentuate the dress and not take away from the design.
