January seems like the longest month ever right? I mean it’s after the hype and excitement of the holiday and it’s cold! For that reason alone, one most get creative with ways to enjoy it. Today I am sharing a recap of what I did for January.

Birthday Celebrations

My husband and my nephews all share birthdays in the month of January. This year, we decided to combine and celebrate them together. We went all out – we had a pizza buffet and went bowling. Honestly, this was a TON of fun and I highly recommend doing something like this from time to time, especially with family and friends. It’s a great way to reduce stress and bring joy which is something definitely needed during this time of year. The fact that there’s still less sun impacts me greatly, so time spent laughing with people you love certainly creates a mood booster!

Movies Watched

Shay and I took to the theater this month, which is something we love to do, especially for date nights. We watched The Green Book which was absolutely amazing. I am a huge fan of movies based on true stories, and this didn’t disappoint. The chemistry between Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala was outstanding. I highly recommend seeing it. The other movie we watched was Bohemian Rhapsody. Holy moly, this movie was incredible. I truly didn’t expect it to win me over as much as it did. I would put down money that this takes the Oscar for best picture and Rami Malek takes home best actor. Needless to say I have been on a Queen high ever since, jamming at home in the car and even at work. It’s a must see for certain!

A Plan For Fitness

I’ve shared through previous posts and IG that I have had some issues with my health, which I plan to share more details about in the future. For now, the plan I want to share is that I am about to start FWTFL and I am going to bring you all along with me on this journey. For me, this is about getting healthy and trying to combat some of the issues I’ve been having. Can’t wait to share this with you all! I’ve had a friend who has been extremely successful with this program so I am excited to see the changes it brings for myself. Stay tuned!
