Today, I am sharing with you all a classic daytime look that’s easy and very affordable. For starters, this look can take you from the office, church, to afternoon tea{or coffee} with the gals.
It’s the classic pleated skirt with a fitted Oxford shirt. Simply put, both of these pieces are wonderful staples for your everyday wardrobe. These stylish items are currently found at J.Crew Factory. Most recently, I started my search for some new work attire. Much to my surprise, I found exactly what I was looking for all at the same time! Something that was easy to throw on and could quickly transition into a look for the office.

Every outfit doesn’t have to be over the top. And, this one certainly isn’t. The look is clean, polished and extremely comfortable. Simply stated, it’s effortless, which we all need from time to time!
Since both the top and skirt are light, I decided to play up the additional pieces. The outfit was accented with a pair or suede d’Orsay flats, a crystal necklace for a little sparkle, and a quilted handbag. You could honestly pull off a big pop of color or more detailed earrings with this look as well.
Now most importantly, many of these items for this classic daytime look are on sale! Additionally, you can definitely pair these staples with current items in your wardrobe, to create many different looks. I tend to really enjoy items that I find at J.Crew Factory. The quality is still good with a decent price tag. Another plus with J.Crew, is that they often have sale on sales available. I would strongly suggest signing up for their emails!
