There are many attractions as noted in this post about Charlotte.  Over time, I will be sharing continuous favorites with you all.  Today it’s is all about a repeat favorite, Ru Ru’s Tacos when it comes to dining.

Ru Ru’s Story

The amazing cuisine is definitely what attracts me most.  However, the architecture is something that also speaks to me.  Ru Ru’s Tacos is nestled off the beaten path of Providence Road in Charlotte NC.  It’s tucked away in the midst of quaint streets and pristine homes with delicate character.  Ru Ru’s has a very Tuscan Vibe on the exterior with a flare of modern rustic on the interior.  I truly feel as if I have been transported to another place while dining here.  It’s a wonderful place to be removed for the hustle and bustle of the city.  What is also fascinating is that is the only Tuscan Villa in the Queen city as noted here in their story.

Cuisine

Ru Ru’s Tacos is certainly a dining experience not to be missed for it’s authentic and fresh Mexican dishes.  At this point, we’ve lost count with the amount of times we’ve dined with Ru Ru’s.  Their menu ranges from the most amazing chunky guacamole, smokey house salsa, to mouth watering tacos filled with immense flavor with various types of meat.  Our menu favorites are, Lookin’ Good Louis, I’ll Have What She’s Having, and You’re Going The Wrong Way.  We tend to stick with chicken, shrimp and fish so each of these are a reflection of our tastes.  The tacos are set more on the size of tapas, but believe me, they are filling.  For reference, after indulging with chips and salsa, two tacos are plenty for me and Shay usually has three.  Most of the time, we are quite stuffed and there’s not much room left for dessert.  However, most recently we saved room all day to splurge with dessert.  We chose the churros and goodness were they scrumptious!  I highly recommend them!

Special Occasions

I highly recommend Ru Ru’s for special occasions such as birthdays or getting together with your gals.  They have the most adorable patio that is divine when the weather is nice but also a separate room for parties in the back of the restaurant.  We have personally used both for separate events and could not have been happier with the setting.  And, one final note, there is now a Ru Ru’s in Charleston South Carolina!  How amazing is that!!  Congratulations Ru Ru’s!
